Staffing Coordinator - Augusta
The
Staffing Coordinator coordinates staffing activities with clients and case
managers—ensuring Medicaid compliance with waiver and home care provider
policies and procedures.
The
following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of
work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive
list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so
classified.
SUMMARY:
Coordinates master staffing schedules for
employees to work in home care environments and to provide adequate nursing
coverage. Maintains a PRN nursing staff pool.
STAFFING COORDINATOR
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a PRN
staffing pool.
- Ensures staffing
coverage in all specified units 24-hours a day and schedules PRNs as needed;
maintains and updates on-going schedules.
- Completes and
verifies time sheets; investigates discrepancies as required; maintains
leave records and verifies agency statements. Maintains database on Excel.
- Coordinates staffing
assignments to ensure appropriate and complete coverage.
- Performs
miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Able to resolve
staffing issues
- Maintain employee
and client database and rosters
- Audit client charts
as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS AND
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years of
college in human resources or related field.
- Knowledgeable in
Microsoft computer applications; not afraid to learn new applications.
- Knowledgeable in use
of the Internet.
- Excellent
interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
- Excellent English
communication (verbal and written) skills, including by telephone.
- Adequate familiarity
with the city of Augusta and surrounding geographical area.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to prepare
routine administrative paperwork.
- Knowledge of
planning and scheduling techniques.
- Ability to
communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Records maintenance
skills.
- Organizing and
coordinating skills.
- Ability to sort,
check, count, and verify numbers.
- Desire to stay in a
long term position with growth potential.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Work is normally
performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- No or very limited
physical effort required.
- No or very limited
exposure to physical risk.
- Reports to
Administrative Director of Nurses.
